Do you remember the days when the lunch bell rang, signaling the excitement of discovering the treasures hidden in your lunch box? Join me as I take a trip down memory lane, revisiting some items—some I’d rather forget—and the iconic snacks and treats that fueled my childhood adventures and satisfied my youthful cravings.

Growing up, I was primarily homeschooled, so most of my meals were eaten at home. One of my favorites was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and they continue to be quick, easy comfort food for me. While living in the Philippines, I had the chance to try many interesting dishes, and I learned early on to try everything—it was one of the joys of spending time abroad.
