Creating a Thriving Workplace Culture

Category: Culture & Traditions

Author: Stacey Russell, Executive Director

In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, we realize the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at The Princeton Senior Living we understand to achieve this culture, employees must trust their workplace.

Each August, The Princeton participates in the Great Place to Work Survey. This is a time where staff can be open and honest about their feedback. A third party collects the data, ensuring it remains truly anonymous. It is so important for us to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly to know what we can work on to truly make our community a great place to work.

As the Executive Director, promoting employee appreciation is a central part of my role. We consistently take time to recognize our hard-working team members, and our employee break rooms are often stocked with snacks to keep everyone energized. During the summer months, we host fun events like employee barbecues and snow cone trucks. These activities are just a few ways we show our appreciation for all the hard work our staff puts in.

We believe when done right, making work a fun place creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work, which in turn makes us a great place to live.
