As we wrap up 2023, we find ourselves reflecting on months past and what lies ahead with our community’s journey.
If you recall, our Personal and Professional Development Coach, Michael “Buck” Buckley. Challenged us to pick a “Word of the Year” in January 2023. Buck asked us to look inward and consider what we need more of or what might improve our lives. The time has come to revisit our Word of the Year for 2023. To explore its impact on The Princeton Senior Living. Whether you’ve been an active member or are just joining us, this retrospective journey invites us all to celebrate the past year.
Our community Word of the Year for 2023 was ‘accountability.’ We achieved many successes throughout the year, living in line with our word and improving the community.
One success in our community this year has been growing a strong leadership team, where the accountability level begins. Accountability has been demonstrated by staff who dress in Princeton uniforms with name tags that residents and guests easily identify. Accountability played a large role in executing large-scale events, including the Easter egg hunt, Sunday Brunch, National Assisted Living Week, Family Fun Day, and the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony.
The community continues to develop accountability at all levels. Ongoing coaching and mentoring from department heads to the line staff have helped to increase accountability in each department and, in turn, make that department stronger. At The Princeton Senior Living, we are all accountable for being present at work and caring for our residents daily.
In 2024, we as a community are looking forward to continuing to elevate the senior living experience at The Princeton Senior Living. All our departments have been through changes in the last year at both the leadership level and the line staff. So we are anxious to continue to implement the necessary changes to make The Princeton Senior Living even better!
As we bid farewell to 2023, we will carry forward the essence of our Word of the Year into 2024. Accountability will continue to be a word that is always lived out in our community. The successes and strides of our community, the embodiment of our chosen word in our collective actions, are not just markers in time but a testament to the strength of this community.
