Each year, National Assisted Living Week provides a special opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the world of assisted living communities across our nation. The week is meant to spotlight the amazing efforts of caregivers working in these communities as well as the unique residents who reside in them. As we join in this national observance, it is a chance to reflect on the importance of compassionate care, celebrate the vibrant lives of residents, and appreciate the incredible staff who make it all possible. This week also highlights the importance of assisted living communities being a part of neighborhoods across the nation.
Assisted living communities positively impact their neighborhoods by participating in Wellness Wednesday alongside independent living and memory care. On these Wellness Wednesdays, everyone enjoys lectures and exercises, shares a meal, socializes, and takes photos together.
As National Assisted Living Week has officially kicked off, we are fully embracing this year’s theme, “Inspiring Generations.” This theme captures the nature of what makes The Princeton Senior Living so special: the blend of wisdom from our older adults and the fresh vibrancy of the professionals who work here each day. To celebrate, residents and staff will enjoy a week full of unique events that highlight the various service areas that contribute to the spirit and success of our community.
Since this is my first year at The Princeton, I’m excited to see all the department heads participate in a different event each day of National Assisted Living Week!
It is our hope that by truly embracing the journey our aging adults take when they choose to make an assisted living community their home, we can inspire others to make the leap, join the wonderful culture, and truly thrive alongside others in their generation.
