The Holiday Season is upon us, and we celebrate in a big way at The Princeton Senior Living! Many of our residents spent decades creating memorable holiday traditions with their families. Throughout the season, we intend to create moments that celebrate all sorts of traditions with the goal of helping our residents feel at home during the holiday season. Moments like these are what make this time of year extra special.
Last year, we celebrated the holidays with 45 days of cheer. This year, we’re going even bigger with a whopping 46 Days of Holiday Cheer! We’ve made several exciting additions we can’t wait to enjoy. A beautiful new tree, which served as the centerpiece of our Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. The tree was planted on the grounds of our community. On December 14th, we broke out our favorite dip recipes for a Dipmas Party!
While there are some new and exciting additions to this year’s traditions. We’re thankful for the moments spent celebrating our beloved traditions from years past. Among our favorites are sharing snowflake blessings, toasting hot cocoa drinks during our Marshmallow World Happy Hour, and singing Christmas carols throughout the community. We also continued our intergenerational Story Corner with a reading of “Here Comes Hanukkah.”
While many days are behind us, the holiday cheer continues through the end of December and into the first week of January. This allows our residents to enjoy plenty of classic Holiday traditions and new and exciting moments created by Arrow Senior Living and our community team. To round out the 46-day extravaganza! The culinary team will take us on a unique daily dining experience. Each day highlighting dishes themed around the 12 Days of Christmas!
Of the 46 Days of Holiday Cheer, my favorite to celebrate with the residents was our Holiday Tree Lighting. It was such a fun event bringing together all three neighborhoods; a perfect way to kick off the holiday season here at The Princeton!
I love all the different traditions that come with the Christmas season! Seeing all the families and loved ones visiting and bringing everyone together brings joy to my residents and me.
